Chemical Roof Treatments for Asbestos

One treatment to deal with all types of growth, and the issues these bring. We apply specially-formulated chemical sprays to treat moss, mould, and lichen, and the resulting issues they can cause. Saturating asbestos by directly applying our low-pressure spray is an incredibly efficient, low disturbance, and cost-effective way to ensure all growth is destroyed.

This will extend the life of the underlying material, and is the first step in preparing it for resealing or coating with a product like Duraflex. You’ll have less chance of leaks and mould inside your home, and exposure to the asbestos. Not only that, your rooftop will come back to life, and look much sharper!

Asbestos

Unwanted growth not only makes asbestos roofs look bad, but it can be extremely damaging, and it can’t be scrubbed or water-blasted. Leaving it untreated can start breaking it down, which dramatically shortens the life of one of your property’s most important assets, its roof. Not only that, but broken down  asbestos is extremely dangerous for people who are exposed to it. Once it’s damaged, effectively keeping weather out can be near impossible. This may mean a costly and highly disruptive re-roof. But with some simple preventative maintenance, we can avoid that and save you a big headache in the future.

DURAPROOF – the Chemical Spray Professionals

We always pay close attention to the surroundings whenever we spray chemicals, and will consider any risks on site. While our skilled staff make sure there is very little overspray, we are extremely careful of animals such as birds or pets, water sources, plants and trees, and property boundaries. It’s really important to us that we thoroughly investigate any potential

risks, and address them if required – for example keeping pets indoors for a safe period, and covering water supplies. We are also Licensed Building Practitioners with over 40 years’ experience in roofing, treatments, and sprays. We hold Health & Safety Standards in the highest regard, and we are trained in Fall Arrest Systems to Unit Standards 15757 and 17600.

Our treatment in action

All it takes is one simple spray. Growth will soon die and break away on its own. One treatment lasts up to three years, but most importantly, it has a significant
effect on the longevity of your roof, and diminishes the risk of damage to your internal areas. Not only that but good maintenance is really helpful for any

insurance claims that may arise. Our team is very experienced in working safely with asbestos. We understand how to keep everyone safe throughout the process, and ensure that it is left sealed to the highest standard.
